Title +DESIGN Magazine Cover (Issue 72)
Client Graphopress Ltd, Athens
Description Cover illustration for +DESIGN Magazine (issue 72).

The illustration features the Greek prime minister George Papandreou, in front of German chancellor Angela Merkel and (former) chief of the International Monetary Fund, Dominique Strauss-Kahn. All three figures played a prominent role in how the impact of the world economic crisis has evolved in Greece.

Issue 72 came with a (removable) slim silver paper band wrapped around it, indicating some basic contents and the catchline "No Money No Problems".

The publication this issue almost coincided with the alleged sex-scandal that mr. Strauss-Kahn was involved in, thus adding an extra bit of spice in terms of timing for this illustration.

+DESIGN has been around since November 1998, highlighting the best examples of modern production from the fields of graphic/web/industrial design, illustration, advertising and typography.

Layout design of the cover, as well as the rest of the magazine by Designers United.
